A Collection Of Whimsical Colorful Jewels Called ‘Kephi’

Indian high jeweler, Neha Dani, has unveiled her newest line of sculptural artisan creations called Kephi. The capsule collection takes its name from the ancient Greek word, “kefi,” which describes the experience of joyfulness, with feelings of lightness, spirit, and positivity. This collection, like her previous creations, represents someone with artistic ambitions. Dani does not come from a family with a background in the gem and jewelry, which is rare among Indian jewelers. Perhaps this is why her contemporary jewels are unlike any that come from this part of the world. Her designs and the craftsmanship represent someone with an original and forward-thinking perspective. Then there’s a bracelet shaped like swirling ocean waves is made of blue titanium and paved with diamonds and blue-colored stones. It’s the only piece in the collection without a central stone. The two earrings are made of 18k white gold in a swirling drop pattern topped by four round diamonds and a fancy shaped colored gemstone. The Kephi collection will be available at Macklowe Gallery in New York beginning September 15. The prices run approximately from $24,000 to $40,000. The six rings featuring gem choices with colored gemstone pairings selected by Dani will retail from about $30,000 - $40,000. However, for the first time Dani will work with clients to offer these rings with their choice of a center sapphire, selected from a “gem palette” box. The price of the custom rings will vary based on the gems chosen. The collection will also be available by appointment at temple and grace in Australia.
